Drag and Drop Between Clouds — The Fastest Way to Transfer Files with RcloneView

Select files on Google Drive. Drag them to your S3 bucket. Done. No command line, no scripts, no five-step upload process. Just drag and drop between any two clouds.

Cloud file transfer shouldn't require a computer science degree. RcloneView's two-pane explorer puts any two cloud storage locations side by side — Google Drive and S3, OneDrive and Dropbox, NAS and Backblaze B2 — and lets you transfer files by simply dragging from one side to the other.

How It Works

The two-pane explorer

RcloneView displays two storage locations side by side — like a dual-pane file manager:

Two-pane cloud explorer
  • Left pane: Any cloud, NAS, or local drive.
  • Right pane: Any other cloud, NAS, or local drive.

Drag and drop to transfer

  1. Navigate to the source folder on one side.
  2. Navigate to the destination folder on the other.
  3. Select files or folders.
  4. Drag from one side to the other.
  5. Transfer begins.

Monitor in real time

Watch the transfer progress as files move:

Beyond Simple Drag and Drop

For recurring transfers → Create a job

If you drag the same files regularly, save it as a named job. Then schedule it to run automatically:

Save drag-drop as scheduled job

For verification → Use Folder Comparison

After transferring, compare both sides to ensure everything arrived:

Verify transfer completeness

For large transfers → Monitor progress

Tips

  • Drag folders to transfer entire directory trees.
  • Select multiple files before dragging for batch transfers.
  • Right-click for additional options (copy, move, sync).
  • Use the address bar to navigate quickly to specific paths.

Getting Started

  1. Download RcloneView from rcloneview.com.
  2. Add your cloud accounts — any two (or more) providers.
  3. Open them side by side in the two-pane explorer.
  4. Drag and drop to transfer.

Cloud transfers, simplified.
