Migrate Koofr to Dropbox — Transfer Files with RcloneView
Move a Koofr library into Dropbox as a cloud-to-cloud transfer, with a preview before anything is copied and a comparison afterwards.
Moving from Koofr to Dropbox usually means a shared team folder, a client workflow, or an app that only integrates with Dropbox. Downloading everything to a laptop and re-uploading is slow and fragile. RcloneView, a GUI built on rclone, connects both services as remotes and transfers between them in one job, and you can watch progress the whole way.

Manage & Sync All Clouds in One Place
RcloneView is a cross-platform GUI for rclone. Compare folders, transfer or sync files, and automate multi-cloud workflows with a clean, visual interface.
- One-click jobs: Copy · Sync · Compare
- Schedulers & history for reliable automation
- Works with Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, S3, WebDAV, SFTP and more
Free core features. Plus automations available.
Connect Koofr and Dropbox as Remotes
Open the Remote tab and click New Remote. Dropbox uses browser-based OAuth: RcloneView opens a login page, you approve access, and the remote connects without an API key. If your target is a Dropbox for Business account, enable the dropbox_business setting when you create the remote. Add Koofr the same way from the provider list and sign in with the account you are leaving.
RcloneView manages 90+ cloud storage services from one window on Windows, macOS, and Linux, so both remotes sit side by side in the same explorer.
Plan the Folder Layout Before You Copy
Open Koofr in the left explorer panel and Dropbox in the right. Decide whether you are moving everything or only certain folders. A photography studio with several years of client folders might copy one year at a time, while a small team may move the whole tree in one pass. The Get Size option in the right-click menu shows how much data a folder holds, which helps you estimate how long the job will take.
Use the filter step in the job wizard to skip clutter such as .git/ folders or files above a maximum size.
Run a Dry Run, Then the Transfer
Create a job from the Home tab: Koofr as source, Dropbox as destination, and choose Copy to leave the originals untouched until you are sure. Run a Dry Run first. It lists which files would be copied, so you can catch a wrong destination folder before any data moves. Then run the job; a cloud-to-cloud transfer streams between the services, and the Transferring tab shows speed, file count and progress.
Dropbox can slow requests when it receives many calls at once. If you see rate-limit messages, lower the number of file transfers in Advanced Settings and let the job retry.
Verify and Keep the Job History
After the copy finishes, open Compare on the two folders. Left-only files show anything that did not arrive; size differences are flagged separately. Fix gaps by copying from the comparison view, then check Job History for the status, duration and file count of each run.
Getting Started
- Download RcloneView from rcloneview.com.
- Add Koofr and Dropbox from Remote > New Remote.
- Create a Copy job from Koofr to Dropbox and run a Dry Run.
- Run the job, then verify with Folder Compare before retiring the Koofr copy.
A migration you can preview and verify is one you can finish with confidence.
