Fix Koofr Sync Errors — Troubleshoot and Resolve with RcloneView
Koofr sync jobs stalling, failing to authenticate, or silently skipping files? RcloneView gives you the visibility and controls to diagnose and resolve the problem quickly.
Koofr is a solid European cloud storage option, but like any provider, sync jobs can run into authentication hiccups, quota limits, or transfer errors that leave you wondering what went wrong. RcloneView's Job History, Log tab, and Dry Run tools make it straightforward to pinpoint the cause instead of guessing. This guide walks through the most common Koofr sync errors and how to fix each one from inside RcloneView.

Free core features. Plus automations available.
Login or Connection Failures
If a Koofr remote suddenly stops connecting, the stored credentials may have expired or been revoked from the Koofr account side, or a password change on Koofr was not reflected in RcloneView.
How to fix it:
Open Remote Manager, select the Koofr remote, and re-enter your credentials to refresh the connection. If the remote still fails to connect, delete it and add it again as a new remote through the New Remote wizard rather than editing the broken one — a clean re-authentication clears most stale-session issues.
Sync Jobs Failing Partway Through
A job that copies some files and then stops, or shows an "Errored" status in Job History, usually points to a transient network issue, a rate limit, or a single problematic file (invalid characters, unusually long path, or zero-byte lock file) blocking the rest of the batch.
How to fix it:
Open Job History and filter by "Errored" to see exactly which run failed and when. Increase the "Retry entire sync if fails" count in Step 2 of the job wizard — the default of 3 handles most transient network blips automatically. If the same file keeps failing, use a custom filter rule in Step 3 to exclude it temporarily and confirm the rest of the sync completes cleanly.
Storage Quota Reached
If uploads to Koofr stop mid-sync with no obvious error, check whether the account has hit its storage limit. Koofr, like most providers, simply rejects new writes once the quota is full.
How to fix it:
Run rclone about "koofr:" in the built-in Rclone Terminal tab to check current usage against your quota. If space is tight, use Folder Compare's size-change discovery tools to find the folders consuming the most space before freeing up room or upgrading your Koofr plan.
Files Not Matching After Sync
If files appear copied but Koofr shows different sizes or timestamps than the source, this is usually a sync direction or timing issue rather than a Koofr-specific bug.
How to fix it:
Run a Dry Run before the real sync to preview exactly what will be copied or deleted — this catches direction mistakes before they touch your data. Then use Folder Compare between the source and Koofr remote to confirm both sides match. RcloneView's sync and Folder Compare tools are both available on the FREE license, so you can verify results without leaving the app.
Getting Started
- Download RcloneView from rcloneview.com.
- Re-add your Koofr remote if authentication is failing, rather than editing an expired one.
- Check Job History for the exact failure point and adjust retry or filter settings accordingly.
- Run a Dry Run and Folder Compare after any fix to confirm the sync is clean going forward.
A little diagnostic routine — Job History first, then Dry Run, then Compare — resolves most Koofr sync problems without needing the command line.
