Migrate pCloud to Dropbox — Transfer Files with RcloneView
Move an entire pCloud library into Dropbox without downloading it to your own disk first.
Switching from pCloud to Dropbox usually means a team has standardized on Dropbox for sharing, or a client requires it. Manually downloading and re-uploading hundreds of gigabytes is slow and error-prone. RcloneView connects both services through rclone and transfers files cloud-to-cloud from one window, with a dry run and a verification step.

Manage & Sync All Clouds in One Place
RcloneView is a cross-platform GUI for rclone. Compare folders, transfer or sync files, and automate multi-cloud workflows with a clean, visual interface.
- One-click jobs: Copy · Sync · Compare
- Schedulers & history for reliable automation
- Works with Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, S3, WebDAV, SFTP and more
Free core features. Plus automations available.
Connect pCloud and Dropbox
Both pCloud and Dropbox use OAuth browser login in RcloneView, so no API keys are needed. Open the Remote tab, click New Remote, choose pCloud, and sign in when the browser opens. Repeat for Dropbox. If you use a Dropbox Business account, enable the dropbox_business = true setting during configuration.
RcloneView supports 90+ cloud storage services on Windows, macOS, and Linux, so both accounts appear side by side as Explorer panels.
Preview the Migration with a Dry Run
Before moving anything, open the Sync wizard and select pCloud as the source and a Dropbox folder as the destination. Use Copy semantics for a first migration so nothing on the source is touched. Run a Dry Run to list every file that would be transferred and confirm the folder structure lands where you expect.
Say a designer has 400 GB of project folders in pCloud. A dry run lets you spot oversized files or unwanted subfolders, which you can exclude in the Sync wizard's filtering step using max file size, file age, or custom filter rules.
Run the Transfer and Monitor Progress
Start the job and watch the Transferring tab for progress and file counts. In Advanced Settings you can adjust the number of file transfers and enable checksum comparison. If the run fails partway, the job's retry setting (default 3) re-attempts the sync, and re-running only copies what is missing.
Because the data moves between the two services through rclone, you do not need free local disk space for the full library.
Verify with Folder Compare
After the transfer, open Compare from the Home tab with pCloud on the left and Dropbox on the right. Filter for left-only and different files to catch anything missed, then use Copy right to fill the gaps. Check Job History for status, size, and file counts as a record of the migration.
Getting Started
- Download RcloneView from rcloneview.com.
- Add pCloud and Dropbox remotes through OAuth login in the Remote tab.
- Create a Copy job from pCloud to Dropbox and run a Dry Run first.
- Run the job, then verify with Folder Compare before retiring the old account.
A staged, verified migration keeps your pCloud data intact until Dropbox holds everything you need.
