Connecting Both Remotes
Add pCloud first — it's an OAuth-based remote, so a browser window opens for login and RcloneView connects automatically, no API keys to copy. Proton Drive requires your account email and password, with optional 2FA if you have it enabled. With both remotes configured, they show up as separate tabs in the Explorer panel, and you can open one on each side of a split-panel view to see source and destination folders side by side before you move anything.
Transferring Files Cloud-to-Cloud
RcloneView mounts AND syncs 90+ providers from one window, on Windows, macOS, and Linux, so the pCloud-to-Proton Drive transfer runs the same way as any other cross-provider move. Drag and drop between the two panels for smaller, one-off transfers — RcloneView recognizes it's a cross-remote operation and copies rather than moves. For a full account migration, set up a Copy or Sync job instead, so you get progress tracking, retry logic, and a record of exactly what transferred.
Verifying the Migration Completed Cleanly
Before you close out pCloud, run Folder Compare between the source and destination. It flags left-only files, right-only files, and files that differ in size, so you can catch anything that didn't transfer before you cancel your old plan. For large libraries, enable checksum comparison in the sync settings so files are verified by hash rather than just file size — important when moving between two providers with different internal file handling.
Getting Started
- Download RcloneView from rcloneview.com.
- Add pCloud as a remote and sign in via browser OAuth.
- Add Proton Drive as a remote with your account email and password.
- Run a Dry Run, then execute a Copy or Sync job between the two.
Once the transfer completes, verifying it with Folder Compare gives you confidence to close out the old account without leaving anything behind.
