Cloud Storage for Managed Service Providers — Backup Client Data with RcloneView
MSPs juggling dozens of client cloud accounts need one tool that speaks every provider — RcloneView brings all of them into a single, automatable workflow.
Managed Service Providers face a unique challenge: each client may store critical business data across a completely different cloud stack — one on Google Drive, another on OneDrive, a third on Amazon S3 or Wasabi. Without a unified tool, protecting that data means maintaining a separate workflow for every environment. RcloneView, built on rclone's support for 90+ cloud providers, gives MSPs a single GUI to manage, monitor, and automate cloud backups across every client account — no scripting required.

Manage & Sync All Clouds in One Place
RcloneView is a cross-platform GUI for rclone. Compare folders, transfer or sync files, and automate multi-cloud workflows with a clean, visual interface.
- One-click jobs: Copy · Sync · Compare
- Schedulers & history for reliable automation
- Works with Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, S3, WebDAV, SFTP and more
Free core features. Plus automations available.
Managing Multiple Client Cloud Environments from One Interface
Adding a client's cloud account in RcloneView takes just a few steps. Use Remote tab > New Remote to configure each provider — OAuth-based services like Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox connect with a browser login, while S3-compatible services like Amazon S3 or Wasabi require an Access Key and Secret Key. Once configured, each client's storage appears as a named remote in the explorer panel, giving you a direct view of their file structure without switching between browser tabs or separate apps.
For teams managing 50+ client environments, RcloneView's Export/Import Jobs feature is particularly useful. Configure a backup job once, export it as a JSON file, and import it for each new client. The naming convention for jobs (a-z, A-Z, 0-9, -, _) lets you tag jobs clearly by client or environment so nothing gets mixed up.
1:N Sync for Redundant Client Backups
A cornerstone of any MSP backup strategy is redundancy. RcloneView's 1:N synchronization lets you sync one source to multiple destinations simultaneously — a single job can push a client's Google Drive to both an S3-compatible archive and a local NAS backup in one run. This is available in the FREE license and requires no extra configuration beyond adding additional destinations in Step 1 of the sync wizard.
The four-step sync wizard also includes the advanced options MSPs need: configurable concurrent transfers, checksum verification to confirm file integrity, and automatic retry on failure (default 3 retries). For sensitive client data, enabling checksums ensures transfers aren't silently corrupted at the byte level.
Scheduling Automated Client Backups
RcloneView PLUS adds crontab-style scheduling in the sync wizard's Step 4. MSPs can set nightly backups, weekly archives, or custom per-client schedules — all without writing cron scripts or maintaining infrastructure. The Simulate schedule preview shows the next several run times before you commit, so you can verify the schedule is correct before it goes live.
Notifications keep your team informed without manual monitoring. Email alerts can be configured with a per-job size threshold so alerts only fire when a meaningful amount of data transfers. Each completed run is recorded in the Job History tab.
Audit Trails for SLA Reporting
The Job History tab records every execution — manual or scheduled — with fields for status (Completed/Errored/Canceled), total data transferred, transfer speed, and file count. Filter by date range or use the Today/Yesterday/Last week presets to pull records for a client review or compliance check. For MSPs with SLA obligations, this history provides concrete timestamped evidence that backup jobs ran, succeeded, and transferred the expected volume of data.
Getting Started
