Manage Linkbox Storage — Sync and Backup Files with RcloneView

Bring Linkbox into your everyday file workflow with a full desktop explorer, scheduled backups, and one-click transfers to any other cloud.

Linkbox is a convenient option for storing and sharing files online, but its web interface isn't built for bulk file management, folder comparison, or recurring backup jobs. RcloneView adds a native desktop layer on top of Linkbox, giving you a proper file explorer, drag-and-drop uploads, and automated sync so Linkbox stops being an isolated storage silo and becomes part of a real multi-cloud workflow.

Free core features. Plus automations available.

Open the Remote tab and click New Remote to start the setup wizard. RcloneView walks you through selecting Linkbox from the provider list and entering the required connection details, then tests the connection before saving. Once added, Linkbox appears as a tab in your Explorer panel just like any other configured remote, so you can browse folders, preview files, and check sizes without touching a browser tab.

Because RcloneView mounts AND syncs 90+ providers from one window on Windows, macOS, and Linux, Linkbox sits right alongside your Google Drive, S3 buckets, or NAS shares in the same explorer view — no separate app for each service.

Adding a new Linkbox remote in RcloneView remote setup wizard

Once connected, use the Remote Manager to review or edit the Linkbox configuration at any time, and switch between multiple panels if you're comparing Linkbox content against another remote side by side.

Manually re-uploading files to Linkbox after every change is easy to forget. RcloneView's Job Manager lets you define a Sync, Copy, or Download job that pulls new and changed files from Linkbox to a local drive, an external SSD, or another cloud provider on a repeating basis. The 4-step job wizard covers source/destination selection, transfer concurrency, and filtering — so you can, for example, exclude temporary files or cap the max file age before a backup runs.

Configuring a backup job from Linkbox to another cloud destination in RcloneView

Run a Dry Run first to preview exactly which files would be copied or deleted before committing to a live transfer — useful the first time you point a job at a Linkbox folder with content you haven't fully audited.

For PLUS license users, the Job Manager's scheduling step supports crontab-style timing, so a Linkbox backup can run nightly, weekly, or on whatever cadence fits your retention needs, without you needing to remember to trigger it. FREE license users can still run the same jobs manually or as a one-time execution whenever needed.

Scheduling a recurring Linkbox backup job in RcloneView Job Manager

Every run is logged in Job History with start time, duration, transfer speed, and file counts, so you can confirm a Linkbox backup completed successfully or investigate a failed transfer without digging through raw logs.

Getting Started

  1. Download RcloneView from rcloneview.com.
  2. Open the Remote tab and add Linkbox as a new remote through the setup wizard.
  3. Create a Sync or Backup job pointing from Linkbox to your preferred destination.
  4. Run a Dry Run, then save the job and optionally schedule it for recurring execution.

Once Linkbox is wired into RcloneView, it stops being a separate destination you have to remember and becomes just another folder in your unified cloud workflow.
