Cloud Storage for Landscaping Companies — Protect Job Files with RcloneView
Keep site photos, design drawings, and estimates backed up off-site without asking crews to change how they work.
A landscaping company accumulates files in scattered places: before-and-after photos on phones, CAD or design exports on the office PC, signed estimates in a shared folder. When one laptop dies mid-season, so does the history of what was promised to each client. RcloneView gives a small business a visual way to copy that work to cloud storage and confirm it arrived.

Manage & Sync All Clouds in One Place
RcloneView is a cross-platform GUI for rclone. Compare folders, transfer or sync files, and automate multi-cloud workflows with a clean, visual interface.
- One-click jobs: Copy · Sync · Compare
- Schedulers & history for reliable automation
- Works with Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, S3, WebDAV, SFTP and more
Free core features. Plus automations available.
Organize Job Files Before You Back Up
Start with a predictable folder structure on the office machine: one folder per client, with subfolders for photos, designs, estimates, and invoices. Photos from crews can be dropped into the client folder at the end of each day.
Open the local folder in one RcloneView Explorer panel and your cloud remote in another. The File Explorer lets you confirm site photos landed in the right job folder before they are uploaded.
Choose Storage That Fits the Business
RcloneView supports Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, Amazon S3, and 90+ other providers, so you can use an account you already have or pick object storage for large photo archives.
If clients' addresses and contracts are involved, add a Crypt remote on top of the destination. File names and contents are encrypted via rclone Crypt before upload.
Automate the Nightly Copy
Create a Sync or Copy job from the jobs folder to the cloud destination. Use Dry Run first to preview what will be copied or deleted. One-way sync only modifies the destination, which suits a backup. With a PLUS license you can add a crontab-style schedule so the job runs every night after crews upload their photos.
Check That Backups Actually Worked
Job History shows each run's start time, duration, status, size, and file count. Use Folder Compare between the local folder and the cloud copy to spot anything missing, especially after a busy week of installs.
Getting Started
- Download RcloneView from rcloneview.com.
- Add your cloud storage through New Remote, and optionally a Crypt remote for sensitive files.
- Create a Sync job from your jobs folder to the cloud, and run a Dry Run.
- Schedule it (PLUS) or run it manually, then review Job History weekly.
Reliable backups mean a failed laptop is an inconvenience, not a lost season of client records.
