Multi-Cloud Backup for High-Value Session Files
Recording studios benefit from the 3-2-1 backup rule: 3 copies, 2 different media, 1 offsite. RcloneView's 1:N sync makes this easy — configure one Sync job that writes session files to both Backblaze B2 (cheap, reliable cloud archive) and Google Drive (accessible for remote collaboration) simultaneously. Both destinations receive the same data in one job run, from a single local source.
For a studio with 10 active sessions and 20 TB of archived projects, set up separate jobs by project status: active sessions sync hourly to Backblaze B2, completed archives copy to Amazon S3 Glacier-compatible cold storage monthly. Delivering Files to Artists and Collaborators
Record labels and studios regularly deliver files to artists, producers, and mastering engineers. Rather than uploading to shared folders manually, use RcloneView to sync approved deliverable folders (final mixes, stems, artwork) to a shared Google Drive or Dropbox location on a schedule. New files placed in the source folder are automatically pushed to the shared destination — no file-by-file manual upload.

Once a project is released, the raw session files move from active storage to a deep archive. Set a file age filter to automatically identify projects with no modifications in 90+ days as archival candidates.
The Folder Compare feature is useful for confirming archive completeness — compare the active session folder against the archive bucket to verify every stem, mix version, and session file landed correctly before removing the active copy.
